Marching Band
Pep Band
• One of the oldest organizations at Georgia Tech
• Founded in 1908 by 14 students• Marching band has grown to 350
students representing each major at Tech
• Performs at all GT football games either full band or pep band
• Performances in Ireland, China, Australia, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York
• Pep Band performs at all home Men’s and Women’s Basketball games, the ACC Tournament, and post season play.

Frequently Asked Questions
• What are the costs associated with participation in the various ensembles?
– First-year Marching Band instrumentalists pay a one time fee of $300. This covers all band attire, uniform cleaning, and other dues.
– Concert ensembles require concert dress
– There are club dues for choral members and orchestra
• Are scholarships available?
– We do not offer scholarships at this time. There are opportunities for students involved in the band program to receive financial support through service and leadership.

• Are practice rooms available?– Yes! The Couch building practice rooms are accessible by Buzz
Card.– Practice Room access can be rented for $15 per semester
• Is there a place to store personal instruments?– Yes! We have an instrument storage room that can be
accessed by Buzz Card at any hour of the day.– Lockers can be rented for $15 per semester – School instruments are available for $25 per semester
• What if I have a conflict with a class? - DON’T PANIC! Plan to be in the ensemble you want.
Most conflicts can be resolved when Phase II registration begins in August.
