THE MUSEUM MALDARESTI (HOREZU)

The Museum Maldaresti was held in a picturesque natural environment at about 3 kilometers from Horezu and gathered together Greceanu, Duca and Memorial House IGDuca.

MONASTERY BISTRITA

Bistrita Monastery, founded Craioveşti boyars (Ban Craiovei Barbu and his brothers Pârvu vornicul, and Radu Danciu Armas postelnicul), was built between 1492-1494, is in the village of Bistrita municipality Costesti Vâlcea County, the picturesque valley of the river with the same name. The fact is attested by a document of 16 March 1494 Vlad's Călugărul.

HOREZU MONASTERY MUSEUM (HOREZU)

Located in Valcea County, at the foot of Capatanii Mountains, Horezu Monastery is considered to be the most representative construction in the Brâncovenesc style. The place of worship, with Saints Constantine and Helena as its dedication day, was built between 1693 and 1697, during Constantin Brancoveanu’s reign. Since 1993 it has been included in the UNESCO patrimony.

ARNOTA MONASTERY

Costesti commune, Valcea county.Arnota Monastery, convent for nuns, was founded by Matei Basarab in 1634. Restored by Constantin Brancoveanu (1705-1706) and then, in neo-gothic style under Barbu Stirbei (1852-1856). Here there is the tomb of Matei Basarab and of the Mayor Danciu, his father.Dedication day: “The Holy Archangels Michael and Gabriel”, 8 November.
