Freshers’ Day Celebrations – 2018 Freshers’ Day – 2018 of Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College was celebrated
on 6th October, 2018 with pomp and gaiety in the august presence of the Chief Guest
of the Day, Sri. V.V. Lakshiminarayana, IPS, Retired Additional Director General of
Police, Mumbai, Maharashtra; Dr. M. Mohan Babu, Chairman, Sree Vidyanikethan
Educational Trust and other distinguished invitees who graced the occasion.
"This is the day to remind you all to stay Fresh" says Sri. V.V. Lakshminarayana, in
his motivating speech to the students. The chief Guest emphasized that the youth
constitute major portion of the total national population. He elicited that 25% population
of the world is youth which plays a significant role in the development of the nation and
cannot be ignored. Further, he told that the determination and energy with which youth
work can make them the most valuable and capable citizens of the nation. He
emphasized the youth to exercise their ‘freedom of speech, ideas and opinions’ and
get the right platform to ‘voice their opinions, share their ideas and showcase
their talent’.

says Sri. V. V. Lakshminarayana, in his illuminating speech. He enlightened the students
about the seven habits of highly effective people. He opined that Confidence and ability
to conquer will make us to achieve many things and illustrated practical examples from
different walks of life.
Dr. I. Sudarshan Kumar, Chief Operating Officer, SVET, explained the growth of Sree
Vidyanikethan Engineering College since its inception.

The presence of Prof. T. Gopala Rao, Special Officer, SVET; Principals and Heads of
department of SVET Institutions; faculty members and scores of students brought
dignity and festive atmosphere to the celebrations which were further enriched by
cultural events by the students.
Convener of the programme, Dr. L. V .Reddy; Co-Conveners Dr. K. Hari Prasad and
Dr. M. Sudheer Babu; and all the Coordinators and Members of the committees were
applauded for organizing the programme effectively. The programme ended up with a
vote of thanks.
