Program The aim of the program is to introduce language assistants to Italian elementary, middle or high schools and encourage the meeting of different cultures. It is organized in cooperation with the Italian Ministry of Education. The language assistant will be shadowing Italian teachers during classes for 18 hours per week (spread over 5 or 6 days depending on the school) which will give the participant the chance to learn about Italian Education. It is a useful international job experience that will enhance the personal CV (curriculum vitae). Additionally it is a good opportunity for participants to develop communication/teaching skills and learn some basics of Italian. There is no financial compensation but participants will receive room and board. An orientation of 2 days will be organised upon arrival. Participants are placed mostly in Piedmont (north of Italy) but could be also in other regions.

Accommodation & MealsParticipants stay with a volunteer host family, with full board.

Terms of Participation • Be between 20 and 30 years old• Be a university student or graduate• Have English/French/German/Spanish/Chinese as mother tongue• Be screened by the partner• Provide a CV, criminal record and completed application form• Non European applicants need to check if they require a visa, most of

the nationalities enter on a tourist visa• No Italian language knowledge required but some basic knowledge

VOLUNTEER TEACHer ASSISTANTfrance

Program The teacher assistant will provide language help in one or two French schools (primary or secondary schools): lessons will be supervised by the language teachers. The placement can be in any French region, there is no regional choice.

It is a volunteer program : 10 hours per week ; the schedule will be set with the school, from Monday to Friday.

Accommodation & MealsFull board will be provided. Lunch will be taken at school (during working days).

Accommodation is included – it can be a homestay or residence or boarding at school.

ProgramExperience life on a French farm. Discover the everyday life of a farming family while improving language skills! In exchange for accommodation and meals, participants will do farm work (+/- 25h/week) like fruit-picking, caring for animals, grape harvesting, selling products at the market... Helping on a farm is a fabulous way to discover the French way of life!

Ranchstay OPTIONIf you are keen on working with horses, ponies or donkeys, how about going on a ranchstay? Most tasks will be related to the animals but also to the daily farm work. Horseriding cannot be guaranteed but is likely if you have a lot of experience!

eco volunteeringfrance

ProgramLive an eco friendly experience with a team of volunteers, discovering the rich French fauna and flora. Projects deal with different aspects of environmental protection so as to safeguard biodiversity. They focus on caring for endangered or injured species, especially wild birds, building gates/fences in natural reserves, restoring natural sites, making people aware of the importance of eco-friendliness. Working as a volunteer is a fulfilling commitment, taking part in teamwork, promoting a cause and enriching your experience with new knowledge. The work can be physically demanding and generally occurs in remote regions. Some bird centres can be in urban areas too. Volunteers will work 5 or 6 days a week for about 4 to 6 hours a day, as needed. The remaining time is to relax and discover the area.

Accommodation & MealsVolunteers are accommodated in bungalows, mobile homes, host families... Meals are not included in the program, but can be prepared on site. Food sharing between volunteers is customary.

ProgramIf tertiary students are looking for an internship in France, we can organize it. An internship (unpaid) is provided that matches the profesSional field related to participant’s studies. Participants will develop their professional and language skills while they gain insight into the local working environment and specific culture.

Accommodation & mealsAccommodation is not included in the cost of the program, but it can be organized in a homestay family (with half board during the week and full board on the weekends). The cost of a homestay is 600 € / month.

Work Experience in Hospitalityfrance

sample placement :Work placement / tasksA nice family hotel facing the fishing port in Lorient (Brittany). 27 bedrooms with TV and WIFI access. The restaurant is famous for shells and fish dishes. Various tasks at the hotel and restau-rant: serving breakfast, reception desk, room cleaning…Dates and duration3 months (July, August, September)35 hours/week, 2 days off per week, 436,05 euros monthly al-lowance.Accommodation / meals / laundryBedroom at the hotel. Must be kept clean and tidy, will be checked on arrival and departure. Smoking is forbidden in the flat. Sheets and towels are provided and washed by the hotel. 3 meals are provided, even on off days.

ProgramWe offer participants the opportunity of work experience in the French hospitality field. They have the choice between a placement in hotels/restaurants or camping sites. As interns they may work at the reception desk, in the restaurant/dining area or in housekeeping/gardening (max. 35h/week). The hotel provides interns with accommodation, full board and laundry service. The campsites provide interns with accommoda-tion and laundry service but no food. If the participant chooses a 2 or 3 month program, he or she gets a monthly allowance (+/- 400 € per month).
