Goals of Fountain of Peace (FOP)

4. Ensure inclusive and quality education for all and promote lifelong learning5. Ensure the stable flow of water supplies after the project ends 6. Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all13. Combat climate change and its impacts

• Provide drinking water and sanitary facilities for local population, institutions, schools, and companies in the Darfur-region of Sudan

• Providing expertize and education to local population• Benefiting local companies and communities by creating jobs, water systems,

infrastructure and transferring knowledge for future self-management

Levels of Analysis

• Physical project/ infrastructure: rain entrapment, water filters, ground water drilling, hand pumps, community managed latrines, water waste treatment • Individuals: clean water and sanitation, education and community awareness,

employment• Businesses: accountability and investment opportunities, networking events,

and research and development in water technology• Government: infrastructure building, accountability, pay for success

investment structure, water tax, subsidized water programmes, • International community: project cooperation, best practices, sharing data,

awareness campaigns
