ForK Tutorial. Exercise 1 Using simulation to determine adiabatic Time to Maximum Rate TMR(T)

Select Simulation mode

Run Scoring

Open an existing project which contains kinetic model

Kinetic model has been evaluated from the ARC data related to decomposition of an organic product

1. Find and se-lect DEMOS folder

2. Select the Adiabatic data volume

3. Select DCM 1 kinetic data set and open it

1. View conditions of the experiment (reactor data)

Next steps are to view data of the project selected

2. View heat exchange parameters

3. View experimental responses

View derivatives

View derivatives using Arrhenius axes

4. View kinetic model

Simulating reaction course under experiment’s conditions to check how the model fits experimental data

Adjusting parame-ters of the nume-rical integration method and running simulation

Zooming fragment of data

Calculation of adiabatic TMR

Adjusting parameters for TMR calculation and running simulation

View results using Arrhenius axes

The 1st Exercise is over.
