Science Is proving to be so much fun at Early Primary! Dayna Prochaska, a representative of the Texas Wildlife Association “Skins and Skulls” Pro-gram gave the students in Mrs. Carothers’ Kindergarten Class a special
hands-on learning experience in coordination with their scientific study of animal groups and their characteristics. Mrs. Prochaska taught the boys
and girls about animal habitats as well as predator-prey relationships. The students were able to handle native Texas animal pelts and skulls includ-ing beaver, coyote, bobcat, fox, and many more. The students also made models of several various animal tracks using molds! It was an exciting
experience! :)

Recently, the students in Early Elementary P.E. participated in a
week-long gymnastics program. The program was led by Rob-
ert Wade, owner of SEAL gymnastics. The students had a great
time learning tumbling skills, including front rolls, back rolls,
cart wheels, round offs, dive rolls, and the importance of
stretching before physical activity. E.H.S. students in Ms.
Mitchell’s Principles of Education and Training class inter-
acted with the Elementary students during this time also.
Early Primary and Elementary Music Teacher, Shelly Faulkner, is sponsoring a Support
Our Troops Program. Students may bring items to Elementary School. Some items to in-
clude: toothbrushes, toothpaste, Ibuprofen, Tylenol, beef jerky, Gatorade packets, and
word searches. This program honors Marine Austin Baugh, from Early, Texas, and his
four bunk mates who are now stationed in Fort Leonard Wood, MO. The students will
have a contest to see which grade can supply the most materials for Austin and his bunk
mates. The winning class will be provided a popsicle party. The contest will last from
April 8th to April 12th. A big thank you to our troops! Look for the letter your child will
be bringing home explaining the program!
TRANSFERS
April is Early I.S.D.’s offi-
cial transfer student ap-

completed during the
designated time set aside
for transfer requests.
The transfer must be of-
ficially approved by the
receiving district’s Board
of Trustees.
To apply, please go to
the superintendent’s of-
fice at 101 Turtle Creek,
Early, Texas, between
8:00 a.m. and 4 p.m.,

For further information,
please contact the Super-
