Freefly Crest: Headup Progression

Step 01: Two compulsory backfly jumps

Jump 01: Check your Alti and get to your belly safely to pull

Jump 02: Not spinning, altitude aware, neutral and hold a rough heading

Step 02: First sitfly jump

Exit: Train or sit position off the doorAim: Hold a good body position or recover correctlyMust have: Altitude awareness to move on

Step 03: Practice Body Position

Practice your position on solos (turning off jump run) until you can hold the position for half a skydive.

Step 04: Introduce Turns

Step 05: Transitions

Cartwheels: Left or right flip.

The point is to get unstable and get back to a neutral body position.

Forward flips: Recover back to neutral sit

Other things: The point is to remain stable and/or recover – other good exercises are clapping your hands, putting your hand on your hips or flying cross-legged!

Step 06: Forward and Back

Step 07: Slow Fall, Fast Fall

Step 08: Intro to Docks

Level: Fly on level

Slot: Move forward into proximity

Dock: Take the dock

Headup Crest Console JumpThis means you are qualified to safely jump with other people (who also

have their Headup Crest) for sitfly jumps. Let the fun begin!

1. Get out of the door on heading2. 360 turn each way3. Alti check4. A transition (cartwheel or front loop) back to sit5. Demonstrate a stand6. Do a stand turn7. Safely go to back then track off
