What is the FCPS Virtual Learning Academy?

The FCPS Virtual Learning Academy is separate online learning program designed for that small number of families who – for reasons related to their child’s health or the health of others in their household – do not want to return to in-person instruction at all, during the 2020-2021 school year.

All other support will be provided by existing district staff, ie: Program Director, Registrar, Mental Health Professionals, Family Resource Youth Service Centers, Food Service, Technology and Other Related Services.

FCPS Virtual Learning Academy

will be staffed in accordance with

the following Student-Teacher

• Grade 4: 28 to 1

• Grades 5-6: 29 to 1

• Grades 7-12: 31 to 1

*KRS 157.360 (5)(c) Restricted and Annual

Exemptions of Class Size may be sought
