Department: Communications / Family Fund Business ServicesJob Title: Marketing and Communications Officer Grade: EResponsible to: Head of Group Communications Date: November 2019Responsible for: Digital Content OfficerPurpose of job: Lead on marketing and communications activities for Family Fund Business Services (FFBS), including the development of marketing strategies for different audiences, that aim to realise new business opportunities and engage new stakeholders, whilst raising the profile of the company.Duties and responsibilities:
Marketing Work with Head of Communications and Head of Business Development to develop and
implement the marketing strategy and plan. Plan and deliver marketing campaigns to generate new business opportunities and evaluate
their success. Proactively support the FFBS team in identifying opportunities to raise awareness of FFBS,
seeking opportunities to showcase their work. Lead, in collaboration with FFBS colleagues, on developing and managing annual and ongoing
market research to identify target sectors and customer segments to generate new business. Use and maintain CRM system to support delivery of marketing campaigns. Develop key performance indicators and measures of success, and evaluate and report on the
effectiveness of all marketing and communications activity. Lead on delivering online and offline advertising, measure and evaluate response rates and
assess the effectiveness against the key measures.
Content Work with Digital Content Officer to identify content campaigns to support the Business
Development team and lead generation. Support the delivery of a content calendar, ensuring copy and production of materials are
relevant and in line with the Business Development and Marketing Strategy. Manage the delivery of the marketing and communications plan. Work with internal graphic designer and external design agencies to produce engaging and
targeted FFBS materials. Support with the development and monitoring of brand guidelines and key messages. Work with the Account Managers to build relationships with customers and identify
opportunities for mutually beneficial promotional activity and case studies. Lead on collation of customer feedback and distribution of customer satisfaction and insight
surveys.
Digital Manage FFBS website; suggest improvements to functionality and content. Manage FFBS social media channels to raise FFBS’ profile and promote products and services.
Public RelationsUNCLASSIFIED/ PUBLIC
Assist with managing media relations and coverage to strengthen the reputation of FFBS and improve brand awareness locally and nationally.
Research and write copy for external articles and press. Identify the publicity/news value of FFBS achievements and developments and promote them
accordingly. Raise FFBS’ media profile and safeguard its reputation.
General Manage Digital Content Officer, providing leadership and mentoring, helping them in planning
their work and ensuring their development needs are met. Carry out other general communications and marketing tasks that may arise. Carry out other appropriate duties as required by senior management.
