The Rhidorroch pinewood is on the west coast, near Ullapool, and stretches along the slopes of the tranquil Glen Achall, between Loch Achall and Loch an Daimh. Most of the mature pine trees are thinly distributed throughout birchwoods on the north facing slopes of the glen, with the largest and densest areas around East Rhidorroch Lodge, ‘The Old Lodge’.
