What would the different uses for a spade be when searching for a tomb?
List as many that you can think of.
Activity
Look back at the idea you decided on yesterday.
We are going to create a flow map
today to plan out the main events of the
story.
We are going to follow the story mountain to help us plan the
story.
Start thinking about how each section of your story might look.
Fill out the flow map on the next slide. If you are stuck, use the
comments in red to help.

Opening Build up Problem
Resolution Ending
We can do this one together. The story starts with me
digging in the Valley of the Kings, trying to find an
undiscovered tomb.
What is going to happen? Do you find the tomb straight away or does it take ages?
If you do find it, what do you do next- open it or leave it
shut?
What is the problem you face?
Is the tomb filled with traps to stop people entering? Is the tomb completely empty? Is the door sealed too tight?
How are you going to solve the problem?
How do you get past the traps? What happened to all the missing items? How do
you open the door?
How does the story end?
Is it a happy ending? A cliff-hanger? A bad ending?
