• 15 regional case studies (West Sweden, Lowlands and Uplands, Saxony, Denmark, East of England, Pays de la Loire, South of Holand, Styria, Piemonte, Prague, Slovenia, Lithuania, Central Transdanubia, Valencia, Pomorskie).

• Focus on OP 2007-2013 and their link with national or regional innovation policy

• Going beyond a mere description of procedures and institutions: looking at perceptions of innovation governance, analysing if regional approach lead to an efficient innovation policy

• Learning from each case study and from comparison
