Wants to continue its development of the interface. Initial meetings promising and very cooperative.

HAB Connect, Events& Alarms developed by OSIsoft. Ongoing discussions for eTerra upgrade path and connector technology

GE produces the interface and may influence the Alstom discussion.

ABB meetings being scheduled for late September 2016 on new approach for the PI interface.

Siemens has current initiative underway for improving the PI interface. Initial meeting is schedule in September 2016.

Connectors

• Easy to configure• Creates reference model

based on assets as defined by the data source

• Auto-creates:• Elements in PI AF• Points in PI Data

Archive, linked to PI AF Elements

• Events collected and stored in Event Frames

• Updates automatically with data source changes

• Collects real-time data

Advancing the PI Connector technology

OSIsoft Message Format (OMF)

• OMF is/does:– A simple, message based contract for data ingress– A written specification and sample code– Support for metadata and streaming data– Operating system and programming language agnostic– Support multiple binary formats and protocol bindings– Support for on premises and cloud services scenarios– Supplemental to existing and new PI interfaces and PI Connectors

• OMF is not:– A replacement for PI Web API, AF SDK, or any other OSIsoft API– An application development framework
