DESCRIPTION

This circuit uses a low cost IC UM3561 that generates four different sounds and can be easily added to alarm. This IC doesn't require any external components if used with piezo buzzer. The output pin 3 of the IC and the negative power supply can be directly connected to the buzzer. This IC can generate the following sounds, when selection pins 1 and 6 of the IC are connected as described below: 1)Police Siren: when pin 1 and 6 are not connected to any of the battery terminals. 2)Fire Engine Siren :pin 6 connected to positive, pin 1 not connected 3)Ambulance Siren : pin 6 connected to negative, pin 1 not connected 4)Machine Gun Siren : pin 6 not connected , pin 1 connected to positive

LIST OF PARTS USED IN THE PROJECT :-

MAIN COMPONENT SPECIFICATION1) IC

PIN CONFIGURATION:-

POT METER 100K

With imperial standard shaft & bushings made to our rigid engineering specifications. The potentiometers are full size - 24mm diameter types. Power rating is 0.5W max. They have genuine 6.35mm (1/4") shafts with a flat machined 25% of the diameter for grub screws or interference fit knob mounting. The shaft is a generous 38mm long. The bush is a 3/8" 32 T.H.D. types which we believe is necessary for good fixing to a panel. Another important feature of the pots is their PCB mount capability.

2)

TRANSISTOR

The BC547 transistor is an NPN Epitaxial Silicon Transistor. The BC547 transistor is a general-purpose transistor in small plastic packages. It is used in general-purpose switching and amplification BC847/BC547 series 45 V, 100 mA NPN general-purpose transistors.

APPLICATION OF THE CKT:-

MAIN USES OF ALARM

Having fire alarm systems installed has its obvious advantages. People are protected, even while they sleep, if a fire should occur. A fire alarm will alert any and all individuals that a fire or the beginnings of a fire have been detected, and people can safely leave the premises before losing life or limb. Yet, there are other unseen and commonly unknown advantages to having a quality fire alarm system installed in a building or home.

FIRE ALARM:-

A burglar alarm is a system designed to detect intrusion – unauthorized entry – into a building or area. They are also called security alarms, security systems, alarm systems, intrusion detection systems, perimeter detection systems, and similar terms.Burglar alarms are used in residential, commercial, industrial, and military properties for protection against burglary (theft) or property damage, as well as personal protection against intruders. Car alarms likewise protect vehicles and their contents. Prisons also use security systems for control of inmates.
