President’s Message Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the
name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching
them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with
you always, to the end of the age.” Matthew: 28:18-20 ESV
Greeting Brothers and Sisters:
I would officially like to welcome you to the last Executive Board meeting for which I will
preside as President. We continue to thank Bishop Adam J. Richardson, Jr., and
Supervisor Connie S. Richardson, Episcopal Supervisor for their service to the Eleventh
Episcopal District and the Lay Organization. We thank God for their leadership and
commitment to the organization.
It gives me great pleasure, as I move toward the afternoon of my career as President of the
Eleventh Episcopal District to leave an indelible mark on the organization. You elected me
to serve two quadrennials which indicated to me that the EEDLO Executive Board
Members and I have served you with vision, integrity, service and accountability. As your
President, thanks for allowing us to be your servant leaders from 2008 thru 2016, “the
work is all divine”. Our journey has had many obstacles along the way. We were able to
face the challenges as a result of the right relationship we have with God.
I want to extend words of thanks to the Central Conference Lay Organization as they
prepare the way for the 72nd Session of the EEDLO Convention in June 2016. I am
extremely proud of the Leadership that is underway to make the final convention of this
Executive Board a success.
I pray that we will continue to serve our Zion with love and enthusiasm. I thank God for
the opportunity to serve as your Episcopal District Lay Organization President and thank
you for your continuous support and encouragement. Humbly Submitted
Charlie Nichols
