Working with Key Frames

1 Select the frame on the timeline that you wish to define the properties of, this is a key frame Be sure to think about when you would like the transition to start

2 Adjust the properties of the key frame for that particular point by using the Control options described below. This is the first key frame. Property changes will be reflected in 3 (Key Frame details).

3 Key Frames are most effective in groups (1-X key frames available), the Key Frame sequence needs an in and out point. We have now defined the “In” Key Frame in steps 1 and 2

4 Define the out key frame by repeating steps 1 and 2 .

5 The next step is to define how the effect progresses between these or any two key frames This is controlled at point 2 of the Key Frame Control - Interpolation Interpolation describes the mathematical calculation used to move between key frames There are three choices:

Constant: Onlychangesatkeyframes.-Indicatedbynolinebetweenkeyframes.

Linear: Changesbetweenkeyframesoccuronalinearpath.-Indicatedbydarkenedarealinebetweenkeyframes.
