Socialism- wealth owned by government

• The government controls means of production

• Some private property

• Redistribution through high taxes

[Example: In Sweden the tax rate is very high, but college education and healthcare are covered for all Swedes. ]

Those who pay taxes have their needs met regardless of access to capital.

Communism• Public (government) ownership of capital

• No competition

• Government provides basicneeds and pay
