IDEA

• ECOFARM PELOPONNESE S.A. was founded in 2001 in Tripoli, at the heart of Peloponnese peninsula in the South part of Greece.

“The primary purpose of the company’s founders (Domaine Spiropoulos, a well-known family for the production of high quality wine products) is the support and development of organic agriculture in Peloponnese.”

LOCATION

• The Company is based on private land of 10 acres, in the 6th km of Tripolis – Vitina road at the edges of Menalon Mountain.

• This place at the center of Peloponnese is quite accessible by the over 200 local farmers who care their sheep and goats in several villages in Peloponnese under a typical Mediterranean mountain climate (600 – 1200 meters high), by using only authorized organic farm methods.

FACILITIES

• The Company’s production center (6th km of Tripolis – Vitina road) refers to a modern facility of 2.400 m2 which is fully mechanically equipped.

• The factory is able to process over 5.000.000 kilos of milk per year and maintains several production lines for feta, bottled milk, goat cheese, graviera (gruyere) etc…

• Furthermore, the Company’s factory is able to manage its own wastes by organic methods and have limited affection for the local natural environment.

PRODUCTS

“ECOFARM PELOPONNESE S.A., is engaged in collecting, processing, producing, standardizing, quality controlling and supplying milk and milk products.” • The company’s product portfolio contains:

• Feta – White Cheese with at least 70 % sheep milk & up to 30 % goat milk (PDO certification by Agrocert

• Goat cheese – White Cheese with at least 90 % goat milk & up to 10 % sheep milk*

• Graviera – Hard Cheese from sheep milk & goat milk

• Goat graviera - Hard Cheese with at least 70% goat milk and up to 30 % sheep milk

• ECOFARMA Light – Low fat White Cheese from sheep milk & goat milk*

• Anthotiro – fresh cream cheese from sheep and goat milk

CERTIFICATIONS

In 2006 was the completion of construction works and one year after, the factory was certificated:

• by the Agency of DIO for producing organic dairy products,

• by the agency Lloyd's Register Quality Assurance System for the quality management system according to ISO 9001:2000

• and for the Food Safety Management System in production - distribution of dairy products in accordance with ISO 22000:2005.
