Dear Parents and Students,

Reading is of great importance, it opens many doors for our little ones and even ourselves! Reading is important for the child’s fluency, comprehension skills, and writing skills and to gain more vocabulary. It helps enhance ones imagination and creativity. For those reasons, one of our main goals for this yea was “READING..READING and READING!!”

Summer homework is assigned to maintain the student’s level and further develop it over the summer. Attached you’ll find 3 book reports. Your child is free to choose 3 favorite books, read them and fill in the book reports. Your child will be required to come present one of the books he/she read in the class during the first week of school.

Also you’ll find a few comprehension passages for them toanswer.
