With Easter comes

of spring, after

winter
The egg is a symbol of new life in this season. In Egland people hardboil eggs, paint them bright
colours and give them to children on Easter
Sunday.
The eggs and sweets are
usually hidden in the house
or in the garden by a rabbit called the Easter
Bunny.
In some villages funny races are popular
where eggs are rolled down a hill.
Czech girls and women paint funny
faces on the
eggs.
They give them to boys on Easter
Monday.
Czech boys and men
make plaited
willow rods.
And on Easter
Monday….
…. they gently hit all
the girls for good luck and beauty.
In Moravia people pour
water or perfume on their friends.
