Ionia Downtown Development
Authority February 2020 Newsletter
Sidewalk Snow Removal
With the winter months upon us, please keep the sidewalk areas along your business storefront and exits clear
of snow and ice. All entrances and exits must be clear of snow for easy access. When clearing your parking
areas, please do not pile snow in front of the dumpster enclosures or any entrances or drive exits. Shoppers may
avoid your business if an icy sidewalk restricts their safety.

Elvis on the Bricks Set for Thursday, February 13th
Don’t let the colder mid-winter temperatures keep you from visiting historic
downtown Ionia on Thursday, February 13th from 5pm to 8pm. Elvis tribute
artist, Jake Slater will be making scheduled visits to several downtown businesses
including The Jewel Box, Ionia Lock & Key, Brick Street Studio,
Cook’s Creamery and Confections, Cantwell’s Training Center, Farmhouse
Naturals Gift Shop, Mane Stage Salon, YCD Electronics, and Izzy’z Barber Shop.
While strolling down Main Street, don’t miss the Elvis themed business window
displays courtesy of Linda Ciangi. Each will “tell a story” of the legendary artist.
Jake will be making a special appearance at the Lamplight Grill from 7pm - 8pm.
Enjoy a great meal while listening to Jake as sings a few of the King’s favorite hits.
