Program requirements

• Need to provide:– Value– Measurable results– Remote/distance education components– Public domain curriculum– Flexible and redefinable

• Just being brick and mortar is not sufficient!!!

Reasons for loss of jobs

Anatomy of a Partnership

• National Instruments uses an Alliance Partner to do all hardware, software, and curriculum development

• National Instruments and our Alliance Partner will aid in preparation of the grant request with the collaboration of the Community College

• Commitment will be essential

• College required to form relationships with local industries affected (National Instruments will assist)

• Grant submitted by College• Work performed and monitored by National

Instruments, with a complete solution delivery by Alliance Member

• Training of staff done at the local college• Full support provided for 1 full cycle• College will need to do continuing STEM outreach, 1+1,

and other community efforts
