Can other people get me into trouble?

If you don’t set a passcode, anyone can get into your iPad and cause you problems!

Passcodes:• 4 numbers• Make sure you will

remember these numbers

Can other people get me into trouble?

Remember: Passwords and passcodes are private.

You should never share your password and NEVER attempt to “hack” someone’s password.

1) Open Settings

2) Select Generaland

Passcode Lock

If you have to change your passcode:

Choose wisely!

Can I bypass security?

• No! If you try to change the settings you are violating the “Acceptable Use Policy” and you will lose the privilege of having an iPad.

• Do NOT attempt to “jailbreak” your iPad. If you do, it will not work at school and you will lose all of your work. This also is a violation of the “Acceptable Use Policy” that you signed

Does my iPad need to rest?

Yes!Don’t take it to bed

with you. You and the iPad both need rest!– Make sure it’s charging– Make sure it’s

someplace where it won’t be bothered.

Does my iPad ever need a break?

YES!Really, you need a

break from it.– Put it down when you are

listening in class.– Don’t forget to talk to

people.

Your iPad is a good friend, but don’t let it be your only friend!

But what about the internet? It’s not the “real” world, can I really get into

trouble on the internet?

YES!Lots of kids get in trouble on

the internet everyday.

Remember the internet is part of the real world, and choices you make there will affect your life.

How much info is just too much?

Keep in mind:• Identity Theft…it’s not just a movie!

• Stranger danger is real on the internet.

• Would you be okay with your grandma seeing what you’ve posted?

What did they do wrong?
