One of France’s greatest contributor’s to type design
Firmin was a printer and engraver
HISTORY
During the 18th century, paper quality and printing
methods influenced the creation of Didot.
Created During the Age of Enlightenment
Has had many contemporary alterations due to
“dazzling” , where smaller strokes disappeared
during the printing process
