ASW provides solutions in processing a cross border transaction in a more streamlined environment of the international cargo supply chain where NSWs play a key role.

ASW operates as an environment where NSWsintegrate and function and ASW should be seen as the regional facilitator and integrator of individual NSWs.

How far have we gone regionally in the development of the ASW?

Activity 1: Development of the ASEAN Data Set (on-going)Activity 2: Conduct the regional survey on the readiness and preparedness of ten Member Countries to implement the ASW (completed)Activity 3: Gathering information of data requirements by governments (on-going)

18

Major principles of ASEAN Data Set

Covering information requirements of regulatory control and business transactions.Data elements suitable for the electronic processing, established on the basis of international standards.Purpose- and transaction-oriented data set.

19

Working Together
