• The great sandy desert is Australia's 2nd biggest desert.
• The great sandy desert is located in the north west of western Australia.
• The great sandy desert covers 284,993 square kilometres.
Simpson Desert
• The Simpson desert is the 4th largest desert in Australia.
• The Simpson desert is the largest sand dune desert in the world.
• The Simpson desert covers land in 3 different states: QLD, SA and NT. Where these 3 states meet is at a place called Poeppel Corner.
Great Victoria desert
• The Great Victoria desert is the largest desert in Australia and the 3rd largest desert in the world.
• It covers 348,750 square kilometres.• It covers large parts of both WA and SA.
