A camcorder(videocamera
recorder) is an electronic
device that combines a videocamera and a video recorder
into one unit. Equipment
manufacturers do not seem
to have strict guidelines for
the term usage. Marketing
materials may present a
video recording device as acamcorder, but the delivery
package would identify
content as video camera
recorder.

A portable media player(PMP) ordigital
audio player, (DAP) is a consumer electronics
device that is capable of storing and playingdigital media such as audio, images, video,
documents, etc. the data is typically stored on a
hard drive, microdrive, orflash memory. In
contrast, analog portable audio players play
music from cassette tapes, orrecords. Often
digital audio players are sold as MP3 players,
even if they support otherfile formats.Othertypes of electronic devices like cellphones,
internet tablets, and digital cameras are
sometimes referred as PMPs because of their
playback capabilities.This article however
focuses on portable devices that have the main
function of playing media.

A digital camera (ordigicam) is a camera that
takes video or still photographs, or both,
digitally by recording images via an electronicimage sensor. It is the main device used in the
field ofdigital photography. Most 21st century
cameras are digital.[1]

Digital cameras can do things film cameras
cannot: displaying images on a screen
immediately after they are recorded, storingthousands of images on a single small memory
device, and deleting images to free storage
space. The majority, including most compact
cameras, can record moving video with sound
as well as still photographs. Some can crop and
stitch pictures and perform other elementary
image editing. Some have a GPS receiver builtin, and can produce Geotagged photographs.

Computer speakers, ormultimedia speakers,
are speakers external to a computer, that
disable the lower fidelity built-in speaker. Theyoften have a low-power internal amplifier. The
standard audio connection is a 3.5 mm
(approximately 1/8 inch) stereojack plug often
color-coded lime green (following the PC 99
standard) for computersound cards. A plug and
socket for a two-wire (signal and ground)
coaxial cable is widely used to connect analogaudio and video components. Rows of RCA
sockets are found on the backs of stereo
amplifier and numerous A/V products. The
prong is 1/8" thick by 5/16" long. A few use an
RCA connectorfor input. There are also USB
speakers which are powered from the 5 volts at
500 milliamps provided by the USB port, allowing about 2.5 watts of output power.

The name MP4 playeris a marketing term for
portable media players that comply with certain
standards and formats. The name itself is amisnomer, since most MP4 players are
incompatible with the MPEG-4 Part 14 or the
.mp4 container format. Instead, the term
symbolizes their status as successors ofMP3
players. In this sense, in some markets like
Brazil, any new function added to a given media
player is followed by an increase in thenumber, despite there being no corresponding
MPEG-5 standard (as of 2010, the current
standard, still being developed, is MPEG-4)

A USB flash drive is a data storage device that consists of
flash memory with an integrated Universal Serial Bus (USB)
interface. USB flash drives are typically removable and
rewritable, and physically much smaller than a floppy disk.
Most weigh less than 30 g.As of September 2011 drives of
256 gigabytes (GB) are available, and storage capacities as
large as 2 terabytes (TB) are planned, with steady
improvements in size and price per capacity expected. Some
allow up to 100,000 write/erase cycles (depending on the
exact type of memory chip used)and 10 years shelf storage
time.
USB flash drives are often used for the same purposes for
which floppy disks orCD-ROMs were used. They are smaller,
faster, have thousands of times more capacity, and are more
durable and reliable because they have no moving parts.
Until approximately 2005, most desktop and laptop
computers were supplied with floppy disk drives, but floppy
disk drives have been abandoned in favor of USB ports.
