David had to live in a plastic bubble to stay healthy…

He could not touch anyone or anything, not even the air, or he would get sick!

When he was 12 years old, he was asked: “What would you like to do if you are healed and get out of this bubble?”

He answered: “I’d like to walk barefoot on grass and touch my mother’s hands.”

Do you remember to thank God for being able to do simple things like hold mom & dad’s hand or

breathe fresh air, etc.?

Memory Verses

1. “Your faith has made you well” (Luke 17:19).

2. "Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever." (Psalm 107:1)

3. “The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.” (Job 1:21)

On his way to Jerusalem, Jesus traveled along the border between Samaria and Galilee.

As he was going into a village, he met ten men who had leprosy.

What is LEPROSY anyway!?

It is a disease that comes with a lot of sores on the skin and it damages muscles and nerves so that people don’t feel touch, heat, or pain well anymore.

Because they were considered to be unclean, they were not allowed to come close to people; so, they stood at a distance

and called out in a loud voice, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!"

When Jesus saw them, he said, "Go, show yourselves to the priests."

And so, as they went, they were cleansed.

One of them, when he saw he was healed, came

back, praising God in a loud voice.

Jesus asked, "Were not all ten cleansed?

He threw himself at Jesus' feet and thanked Him.

Where are the other nine? Were there not any found

who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?”

Out of TEN lepers whom Jesus healed, only ONE came back to say thank you!!! That made Jesus very sad . . .

How often do we go on our way rejoicing and forget to stop and praise God and

thank Him for his goodness?

Stop!

Go back!

Thank Him now!

God doesn’t owe us anything, but He gives us everything because He is loving and good!

Everything is a gift from God!

The devil tries to blind us and keep us busy so that we don’t realize God’s gifts and we don’t say ‘Thank you’!

So, make sure to keep your HEART and EYES open to say THANK YOU to God as often as you can!

HOMEWORK

1) In the morning and say “Thank you” right away!

2) Keep your eyes open to RECOGNIZE God’s blessings every day to say thank you right away!

3) Don’t take anything for granted, especially the Holy sacraments of the church! Say thank you to God:

1) after CONFESSION it is a gift that our sins are ‘erased’ through Our Lord Jesus Christ!

2) after COMMUNION it is a gift that our Lord gives us His body and blood so that we have His power in us to stop sin and be with Him in Heaven!

3) What else can you think of?

HOMEWORK

4) We thank God not only for the things He gave us throughout the day, but also for the many bad things that the Lord protected us form throughout the day!

Aaaaand……..

• When we start to feel sad/upset, whine/complain, this means we are forgetting to recognize God’s gifts to us! So, RIGHT AWAY, STOP and start saying “Thank you” to God for

everything and you will see that you are no longer sad…

QUESTION: If we don’t get something we want, should we be sad or complain?

If we know that everything is a gift from God that we don’t deserve, we will never be sad or complain because we realize how MUCH God

has blessed us already!

We will always stay happy, PRAISING & THANKING HIM!

Do you want to know one thing I’m veeeery thankful for?

I thank God for giving us His Holy Bible, because through it, we are able to know Jesus, His teachings, to hear His daily message to us, and to get to know the apostles.
