We passed the School, where Children stroveAt Recess – in the Ring-We passed the Fields of Gazing Grain -We passed the Setting Sun -

Or rather – He passed us –The Dews drew quivering and chill –For only Gossamer, my Gown –My Tippet – only Tulle –

Experts agree the learning possibilities with tablets and their educational apps are endless. But how will tablets change education in South Africa, and what will the impact be on basic reading and writing skills?

Some experts believe that using tablets should only be introduced from Grade 6, once a child’s reading and writing skills are well established.

“You don’t have to write when using a tablet and there are apps that can read text to you. This means kids will be less likely to develop these skills ..... “

The biggest worry for South African education authorities is that tablets will cause the information gap between rich and poor to widen even more.
