Raised in the United States and Europe, Maria has lived in the Fiji Islands since 1991. She is married to Ron, a native of Taveuni in northern Fiji, and shares her life with three children and a large extended family.

Maria’s creative work bears the influence of her tropical island environment and Fiji’s unique cultural heritage. However, her international background gives her the added edge of feeling at home in a variety of cultures, and Maria’s award-winning artwork is sought after by clients from all over the world.
