PLACE –GOLDEN TEMPLE

ABOUT -is an area in Karnataka which is home to the Indian town

Bylakuppe and several Tibetan settlements (there are several Tibetan

settlements in India), established by Lugsum Samdup ling (in 1961) and

Dickyi Larsoe (in 1969). Bylakuppeis the second largest Tibetan settlement

in the world outside Tibet after Dharmashala. It is located to the west

ofMysore districtin the Indian state of Karnataka which is roughly 80km

from Mysore city

PLACE –KAVERI NISARGADHAMA

ABOUT -Kaveri Nisargadhama is a delta which is

called as island by local people, formed by river

About- Dubare is known for its elephant camp, a forest camp on

the banks of the river Kaveri in the district of Kodagu , Karnataka.

It is an important base for the Karnataka Forest Department's

elephants

Place Harangi Reservoir

The Harangi Reservoir is located near Hudgur village, Somwarpet taluk

in Kodagu district in the Indian state of Karnataka. The reservoir is

formed by a masonry dam built a cross the river Harangi, a tributary of

the Kaveri. The dam is located about 9km away from the heart of

Kushalnagar town. The Harangi or iginatesinthe PushpagiriHills of

place Abbey Falls Madikeri

About -Abbey Falls is in Kodagu, in the Western Ghats in Karnataka.

It is located 8 km from the Madikeri, 122 km from Mysore, 144 km

from Mangalore and 268 km from Bangalore. The river is part of the

early reaches of the river Kaveri. Flow is much higher during the

monsoon season.

About -Raja's Seat is a seasonal garden of flowers and artificial fountains. It is one of the most important tourist spots in Madikeri of Coorg District. It is 270 km away from Bangalore, the capital of Karnataka.

PLACE – MADIKERI FORT

About-Madikeri Fort also called Mercara Fort was first founded by Mudduraja in the second half

of the 17th century. He also built a palace inside the fort. It was eventually rebuilt and

restructured in granite by Tipu Sultan who named the site as Jaffara bad

PLACE -TALAKAVERI

About –Talakaveri or Talacauvery is the place that is generally considered to be

the source of the river Kaveri and a holy place for many Hindus. It is located on

Brahmagiri hills near Bhaga mandala in Coorg district, Karnataka. It is located

close to the border with Kasaragod district of Kerala State

PLACE BHAGAMANDALA

About -During 1785–1790, the area was occupied by Tipu Sultan. The temple was burnt and destroyed. He renamed Bhagamandala to A fesalabad In 1790 King DoddaVira Rajendra took Bhagamandala back into an independent Kodagu kingdom.
