Configuring VPN for

Windows

Downloading Juno Pulse

1. From the Windows 8 taskbar, launch the browser Chrome. If you do not see the icon

below, you will need to launch Explorer and install Chrome. The VPN works better

with Chrome.

2. Within Chrome, go to www.uc.edu.

3. Under UC Tools, go to UC VPN.

4. Sign in with your Central Login Username (6+2) and Password.

5. Under Web Bookmarks, Juno Pulse for Windows 64bit needs to be installed.

Note: If you do not see the Web Bookmarks below, go back to your browser and use the

URL: https://sslvpn.uc.edu/test and sign in again with your credentials.

6. After clicking each link, you will see the install files within Chrome. Click on

JunoPulsex64.msi to install the program.

Installing Juno Pulse

A. Click on the JunosPulse.x64.msi installer.

B. Continue through the install wizard until finished accepting all default settings.

Launching Juno Pulse

1. Click on the Juno Pulse tile from the Window 8.1 Start screen. You may also launch

it from the desktop.

2. From the PULSE screen, click on the (+) sign to add a connection for UC’s VPN.

3. Fill in the required fields with the information below and click on Add.

4. Select Connect.

5. Sign in with your Central Login Username (6+2) and Password and click on

Connect. You may also want to check Save settings which will cache your

information for future use.

6. You should now be connected.
