About John Donne

John Donne was born in the last phase of Elizabethan age.

His literary career developed to its full extent in the beginning of the 17th century.

John Donne considered the pioneer of the metaphysical poetry .

Donne is a “singular” poet.

Donne does not follow a constant literary style.

His poem demands specific taste on the reader.

His poem are always strong and serious.

Donne also use the conceit in his poem.

His work referes to his time.
