Thecolourmapsareuntested,butIproposethefollowing:•  Itisbesttodesigncolourmapswithinthecolourspaceofthe

colourblind,ratherthantestamapforcolourblind‘safeness’.

•  Workingwithinthecolourspaceofthecolourblindallowseveryonetoshareacommonperceptualinterpreta=onofthedata.

•  Ensuresmaximaluseoftheavailablecolourspace.

•  Chromaandlightnesscanbeproperlyusedinthedesignofcolourmaps.
