Iron fertilisation: The increase of the biological production did not result in a substantial increase of CO2 uptake by the ocean, as it has been proposed by Martin et al. (1990). Kurz and Maier-Reimer, Global Biogeochemical Cycles (1993) Noch 10 Jahre später wurden von anderen Studien angestellt, die zu ebendiesem Schluß gelangten.

Labile DOC: The results reveal that the concentration of dissolved organic carbon in surface water is about 300 μM and decreases with depth. Sugimura and Suzuki, Marine Chemistry (1988) Maier-Reimer et al. – Stimmenthaltung (im Gegensatz zu vielen anderen…) Suzuki, Marine Chemistry (1993) – data from 1988 were retracted
