1-(4-Nitrophenyl)-4-phenyl-1H-1,2,3-triazole vs. 5(6)-Nitrobenzofuroxan Forma-tion and Their Antifungal Activity. — The synthesis of triazole derivatives (III) via Cu-catalyzed "click" reaction of corresponding nitrophenylazides (I) with phenyl-acetylene is attempted. p-Nitrophenyl azide (Ia) smoothly affords the desired triazole (IIIa), whilst in situ generated dinitrophenyl azide immediately gives nitrobenzo-furoxan (V).
