Day 9: Depart from Shannon

Day 1: Departure from the USA

Day 2: London Touch down in London, England’s historic capital. Meet your CHA Tour Director at the airport and drive to your hotel. Later, get better acquainted with London on your CHA Walking Tour to bustling Trafalgar Square.

Day 3: London See Big Ben, the Houses of Parliament, Hyde Park, the Royal Albert Hall and Piccadilly Circus on your guided sightseeing tour this morning. Included is a visit to Christopher Wren’s masterful St. Paul’s Cathedral built in the late 1600’s after the Great Fire of London destroyed the previous structure. End your tour as you observe Her Majesty’s troops performing the Changing of the Guard at Buckingham Palace (time permitting).

**Optional tour of Globe Theater.

Day 4: London-Oxford-Stratford  A morning drive leads to Oxford, England’s “City of Dreaming Spires,” for a walking tour of Britain’s oldest university town. Later, you’ll head to Shakespeare’s Stratford-upon- Avon where sightseeing reveals the town’s Tudor style architecture and includes visits to Shakespeare’s Birthplace on Henley Street and his wife Anne Hathaway’s Thatched Cottage. Overnight in the area.

Day 5: Stratford-Ferry to Ireland-Dublin  Journey via lovely English countryside to scenic Wales, where you board your ferry crossing to Ireland. Once on Irish soil, proceed to the capital city of Dublin, located along the banks of the River Liffey, for your overnight stay.

Day 6: Dublin  This morning, you’ll tour Dublin with your expert local guide with views of the National Gallery, Christ Church Cathedral, Phoenix Park, Parnell Square, O’Connell Street, and the former Parliament House. Visit St. Patrick’s Cathedral, where the well-known Irish satirist Jonathan Swift is entombed, and Trinity College to visit its impressive library housing the brilliantly-illuminated Book of Kells. On your free time, consider a visit to the Dublin Writers Museum to learn about the city’s rich literary heritage.

Day 7: Dublin-Blarney-Killarney  Today’s drive leads to Blarney Castle, one of Ireland’s oldest, most historic castles. During your visit, you will have the chance to kiss its famed stone to acquire its legendary “Gift of Gab.” Proceed to Killarney, famous for its beautiful lakes and mountains. Overnight in the Killarney area

Day 8: Killarney-Ring of Kerry-Killarney  The day begins with an orientation tour of the bustling market town of Killarney. Drive through Killarney National Park to visit Muckross House, a magnificent 19th-century Victorian mansion and one of Ireland’s leading stately homes. Then take an exhilarating tour of the Ring of Kerry with its 126 miles of rugged coastal scenery.

Day 9: Killarney-Shannon-Departure  Drive to the Shannon airport to board your return flight to the United States

PAYMENT TIMELINE

Checks and registration forms: target due date to be determined once we confirm that we have the numbers to go! (before June 30)

Online registration: Once we verify numbers, Mrs. Shenefield will register the tour with CHA and acquire the code for the tour for travelers to use.
