of channels, swamps, and lakes.

West Africa is mostly plains with a few highlands and also high mountains in the northeast.

cities are located on the coastal plain?

Coastal Plain is an area with plenty of rainfall and water for farming and transportation.

West Africa’s climates are zonal?

The climates stretch east to west in bands or zones.

between the Sahel and the Savanna? Similarity they both support some

agriculture with enough rainfall; the difference is savanna is farther south and has taller grass unlike the Sahel is farther north and shorter grass.
