Earlier this year, PCBV member and local author Gail Lee Cowdin published a children’s book Little Dee7: A Handbell Story. The illustrations done by her granddaughter, Caylen Cowdin, are on display this month in the Fellowship Hall. The story of Little Dee 7 came to life at the encouragement of former music director Stephen Knudsen when Gail played with the bell choir and noticed the tiniest “lonely bell” that had been placed in a sock in a corner of the bell case. Gail is also the author of three popular detective/crime novels found on Amazon and has been recognized by the Bella Vista Arts Council as Artist of the Month. See Gail for more information. Portions of the proceeds from Little Dee7 are being donated to the bell choir.
