Advantages
• Wall won’t crack when frozen and thawed.
• Water infiltrates trough the tire center and it doesn’t effect the structure of the wall.
• Plants can grow.
• An alternative solution of wasted tires.
Project
• They first packed the tires;
• Then they excavated a bed behind the tires for culinary herbs;
• A retaining wall with redwood was constructed to hold the hill;
• They used the sand to fill the tires.
