THE PLYMOUTH PROMISEThe Plymouth Promise

All Plymouth Children and Young People to:

• Be provided with platforms to express their views on Plymouth issues.• Have their academic, creative and sporting talent celebrated at school

and by the city.• Experience the opportunity to take part in an annual Plymouth creative

arts event.• Enjoy at first hand the heritage sites of our maritime city and its

surroundings as part of their learning.• Have access to a residential experience.• Be offered the opportunity to help others through voluntary activity.• All 5-14 year olds to have the opportunity choose and accredit some

aspects of their learning through the “Children’s University.”• Be able to take part in “Summer Mix ” programme of accredited

educational and recreational activities during the school holiday period.

• Free lectures at least bi monthly for children and families

• Collaboration with Plymouth University and other partners

• Targeted to specific groups • Advertised through schools and local media
