Session Aims

What is it?

Screencasting is a way to present “digitally recorded playback of computer screen output which often contains audio narration” and to visually demonstrate procedural information to students. Udell (2005)

• Record a welcome to the course• Tour round the online environment• Creation of short learning resources– Capturing a presentation or adding

narration to PowerPoint– Key concepts for revision– Boring stuff you repeatedly get asked

• Recording individual feedback• Students recording poster presentations
