TheJuniperprojectisintheEastMayaroBlock(EM)offthesoutheastcoastofTrinidadandTobago.

CHALLENGE

Theplatformemploysacrewsizeof10menfor12hoursperday,approximatelytwotimesperweek.ThetreatedsewageneededtomeetbothIMOandlocalTrinidadandTobagodischargestandards.BPspecificationsrequiredahighlevelofredundancyandaveryhighlevelofinternalcompanystandardstobemetfrominstrumentationtopaint.

SOLUTION

H2OprovidedahighlycustomizedCZM-182Crapzapper®marinesanitationdevice.ThetreatmentprocessmettherequireddischargelimitsforBOD,COD,TSSandnutrientremoval.Abaseframewasincludedtohousethesewagetreatmentplantandtheassociatedcontrolsandequipment.ThespecificationsrequiredredundantlocalMCC,blowersanddischargepumpstobefittedontotheskid.ThelocalcontrolpanelhasanHMIandanPLCwithModbuscommunication.TransmitterswereusedthroughoutthepackageinorderfortheclienttoremotelymonitorandcontrolthesystemviatheDCS.Averysignificantdocumentationprogramwascalledfor,includingblastloadingcalculations,baselinedatumthicknesstesting,liftingandloadingcalculations,X-rayweldanalysisandPMItestingtonamebutafew.Asubstantialdocumentationpackageinexcessof80individualdocumentswasalsoprovidedforthepackage.

RESULT

H2Owasabletoprovideasewagetreatmentsystemthatmettheenvironmentaldischargequalitylimitsevenwiththesporadicloadingconditions.Ourengineeringgroupwasabletodeliveronthestringentprojectspecifications,qualitystandardsanddocumentationrequirementsfortheproject.BPhasasewagetreatmentsolutionthatisreliableandprovidesmanydecadesofworryfreeservice.
