WELCOME
From December 26, 2014 to January, 2015, the Scout Association of Peru has the
pleasure of organizing the 4th National Rover Scout Moot – Oxapampa 2015.
Hosting such an important event for the Rover Scout Branch and for the Scout
Movement, undoubtedly, fills Peruvian Scout Movement with pride.
You are invited to take part in the 4th National Rover Scout Moot – Oxapampa 2015, an
event full of adventure, experienced-based tourism, community service and scout
activities. Oxapampa, land of natural beauties located in the central jungle of Peru, will
welcome Peruvian Rover Scouts and contingents from all over the world for the first
time.Oxapampa is waiting for you!

To live an adventure, as anything we want to start in life, we mustbegin by taking the first step: entering our personal challengeworld.
This means revising and being aware of the extent of our skills indifferent areas, feeling free to explore other cultures. Travellingenables you to get to know many things: other scouts, culturesand yourself.
Let us propose you to have:
- An experience based on your personal project in which you willfocus on what you want to improve
- An adventure to follow the majestic and enigmatic route of thejungle with many stories and life experiences
Dare to discover the Yanesha Culture and its world view.
GENERAL PROGRAM We will have an exclusive bulletin to keep you informed about the General Program of the Rover Scout Moot – Oxapampa 2015, thus you will be fully informed about all the activities we are organizing. It is important to know that the program is based on the educational objectives of the Rover Scout Branch. The priority action areas are nature, work, community service and travelling, conducted in such way so that integration and experience sharing among the participants as well as native culture exposure will occur. The 4th National Rover Scout Moot – Oxapampa 2015 activities begin in Lima on December 26, 2014: we will be heading for Oxapampa at night.
PARTICIPATION The 4th National Rover Scout Moot – Oxapampa 2015 is an event for young men and women. All Rover Scouts participating in this Moot must be registered members of the Scout Association of Peru or their country’s Scout Association recognized by the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM). If your country has several Scout Associations, we suggest you all come together in one contingent. In the event this cannot be viable, please let us know which Scout Organization you belong to.
•Young members aged 18-21 atthe beginning of the event onDecember 26, 2014.
•They must be registered asRover Scouts in their countries’Scout Associations.
Rovers Scouts
•They must be prepared to assume anytask at the Moot and must arrive to theevent location (Oxapampa) until 12:00pm on December 26, 2013, to take partin the required training for their roles atthe Moot.
International Service Team
LOCATION
The 4th National Rover Scout Moot will be held on the outskirts of Oxapampa, in the
central Jungle of Peru. This place is located 246.063 miles (396 km) from Lima, Capital
City of Peru. Oxapampa City is the Capital of the Oxapampa Province, the largest
province of the Department of Pasco. It is a place endowed with beautiful scenery and
where the population still keeps the German influence from former settlers.
The base camp will be held in the Tsachopen Community located approximately 3.7282
miles (6 km) from Oxapampa City. The community belongs to the Chontabamba District.
TSACHOPEN NATIVE COMMUNITY
This community has a semi-industrial craft workshop and the craftsmanship and hand-
made artistic creation is one of its main activities: handicraft made using wood, mud,
seeds and feathers as well as clothes colored with vegetable dyes.
The Tsachopen Community, is currently integrated to the civilization and has gone
through the intermingling process between settles and Andean people. Its new
generations are dedicated to preserve their ancestors’ traditions and customs.
CLIMATE
Climate: Humid and semi-hot, characteristic of the High Jungle Average Temperature: 18° C – 25° C In the next bulletins, we will provide detailed information on the place of the event and
the Tsachopen Culture.

Registration to be part of the International Service Team (EIS) is subject to the 4th Rover
Scout Moot organizers’ approval. Vacancies are limited.
