a reinterpretation of forms and materials BL's SOHO collection

boasts a balance of architectural design and classic appeal.

Exquisite woods, traditional techniques, and timeless motifs

are applied to our designs creating charismatic pieces

Our mission is to understand the past and interpret it through

technology and contemporary design.

We use this knowledge to transfer our entire artisan’s wisdom

into our design.

The latest technological methods are combined with

traditional manufacturing techniques allowing our pieces

to transform into timeless objects.

HAND CRAFTING AND FINISHINGAll of our furnishings are hand craftedand finished using the greatest skill, depthand detail. Materials are selected basedon the design, function and finish of the piece.Our craftsmen build and hand assemble eachitem, only using machines and power toolswhen necessary to achieve the highest levelof quality and finish.

HAND CARVINGMany of our furnishings feature details handcarved from wood which is then assembledwith the furniture frame using the delicatetask of joinery.

FINISHINGThe finishing process is one which containsmany steps and must be done with greatprecision. As the finishing touch on eachpiece of furniture we use one or a combinationof the following finish types: high glossvarnish, metallic leafs, translucent colors(a unique BL process), high gloss lacquerand a number of different wood veneer typesand techniques.

HARDWAREOnce the finish process is complete,our hardware is placed on pieces whichrequire such. Our hardware is speciallydesigned to suit the look of each individualpiece of furniture. The majority of ourhardware is made of brass which is handcasted by local jewellers and then platedor painted to create the desired color.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

BL designs and produces high quality interior furnishings to please even the most demandingadmirers. Our Public shares our Passion: a design that reflects an urban and simultaneouslyclassical lifestyle. We use the highest quality materials and textures, giving them shapes

are internationally distributed in the finest interior design boutiques. They are handmadein Portugal, using traditional methods, by exceptionally talented artisans.
