Blackboard Final Portfolio Submission Instructions with Screenshots* ECU, Spring 2017, ENGL 2201, Dr. Sean (Morris)

*zoom in if you need to.

• Go to the Blackboard homepage for your ENGL 2201 Course. • On the left hand side of Bb, open “Portfolio Submission.”

• When you get to this screen, click on “2016-2017 Final Portfolio.”

When you get to this screen, click “Create Portfolio.”

When you get to this screen:

Name the portfolio: ENGL 2201 Portfolio 2017 Spring (or something equally as obvious). Don’t worry about writing a description.

Hit "Submit."

When you get to this screen, click “No thanks.”

• When you get to this screen, click on “Add Artifact.” (NOTE: You will need to add each of your two revised portfolio submissions and the self-

analysis/cover letter separately as individual artifacts BEFORE you, then, upload your created portfolio with those three files in it.)

• When you get to this screen, click on “Add Personal Artifact” (to add a single file from whatever location you saved it to).

When you get to this screen:

1. Add a “Title.” (MA# Port Sub, where # is an actual number is fine.) 2. Click “Browse My Computer” to select the EXACT FILE you want. (There are NOT unlimited attempts for portfolio submissions, so make sure you know these are the most recent versions you mean to upload!) 3. Then “Submit.”

NOTE: You will need to repeat the process of adding an artifact (p. 6), selecting a personal artifact (p.7), and performing the three steps above and

pictured on the screenshot below (p.8) and the next page (p.9) for each of your two MAs and the self-analysis/cover letter that you are adding to

your portfolio submissions.

After you select the proper file, it should show up at the bottom of the same screen (as below). Make sure it is literally the one youe meant to add

before clicking submit.

Then, you should see a screen like this with your added artifact showing up like so:

Repeat the steps on pp. 6-10 of this document until you have added your final revised portfolio versions of these three items and they are all visible on

the screen on page 10:

MA3,

MA1 or 2 (your choice), and

the self-analysis.

Then return to the “Portfolio Submission” menu option (top left in Blackboard for the course) and click 2017-2017 “Final Portfolio” again.

Once you get back to this screen, now click “Select Portfolio” IF & ONLY IF you are certain the three files you meant to select are in the portfolio

Then, on this screen, click on the appropriate circle for the intended portfolio, then click “Submit.”

Then, when you get to this screen and you see that your portfolio is showing up as attached, click “Submit” yet again, so the gods of software

redundacies can be completely satisfied.

Congrats! You are done with the exciting world of portfolio uploading to the Blackboard plug-in.

If you have not yet submitted MA3, the guidelines for it, and your self-analysis/cover letter to iWebfolio/University Writing Portfolio, don’t forget to do

that too. You can find a link to directions for it in the “End of Term Documents” folder (at the bottom of Course Documents in Blackboard), along with

what exactly you want to put in each portfolio upload place. After that, you are done done.

Have a great summer! I hope you can tell everyone you rocked this class.
