Z KRONIKI BIBLIOTEKI UMCS
Sprawa lokaluBudowa gmachu bibliotecznego wohodzi w stadium realizacji.
Załatwione już zostały formalności związane z wydaniem zleoenia na wykonanie pełnej dokumentacji technicznej gmachu. Miastopro- jekt Lublin przystąpił do jej opraoowania.
Szkolenie. praktyki i kurs.v wakaoyJneW ramaoh szkolenia bibliotekarskiego Podsekoja Bibliotekarzy
Szkół Wyższyoh Związku Nauczycielstwa Polskiego wraz z Oddziałem Lubelskim Stowarzyszenia Bibliotekarzy Polskioh zorganizowała wycieczkę do Wrocławia w oelu zwiedzenia tamtejszyoh bibliotek. Sprawozdanie z wycieozki podajemy na innym miejsou.
W okresie letnim (26.VIII - 22.IX) odbyło się w naszej Bibliotece przeszkolenie' grupy 5 studentek I roku bibliotekoznawstwa Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego^skierowanych tu na praktyki wa- kaoyjne. Program praktyk ustalono w ten sposób, by umożliwić studentkom nie tylko zapoznanie się z praoą w Biblioteoe UMCS, ale również zwiedzenie innych bibliotek lubelskich oraz poznanie samego Lublina 1 jego okolle.
Przeznaozono ogółem 5 dni roboczych na zajęcia ogólne*1. zwiedzenie miasta, jego zabytków 1 obejrzenie Majdanka -
- 1 dzień;2. zwiedzenie bibliotek wyższyoh uczelni KUL, WSR, AM oraz
Wojewódzkiej i Miejskiej Biblioteki im.H.Łopaoińskiega - 2 dni;
3. poznanie Biura Wydawnictw UMCS oraz zapoznanie się z historią 1 organizacją Biblioteki UMCS 1 obejrzenie jaj poszczególnych agend (biblioteka nasza mieśoi się bowiem w 4 punktaoh miasta) - 2 dni;
Pozostały oh 19 doi roboozyoh praktykantki praoowały w po- szczególnyoh oddziałach biblioteki. Przydzielano je pojedynczo lub po dwie kolejno do oddziału gromadzenia, opracowania , katalogów stawiająo sobie za oel zapoznanie loh głównie z drogą książki w blblloteoe. Ze względu na trudne warunki lokalowe naszej Biblioteki nie można było równocześnie 1 wyłąoznle zatrudnić Ich w oddziale opraoowanla. Kierownikiem praktyk był lnż. Stanisław Makowiecki w zastępstwie klerownlozkl oddziału, mgr Sabiny Horyszewskiej, która w tym okresie wyjechała do Anglii.
Kol.Sabina Horyszewska została wydelegowana przez Stowarzyszenie Bibliotekarzy Polskich z ramienia Ministerstwa Szkolni- otwa Wyższego na Międzynarodowy Letni Kurs Bibliotekarski w Birmingham (28.VIII - 10.IX). Tematyka kursu obejmowała zagadnie- nia dotyożąoe wszystkioh rodzajów bibliotekarstwa w Anglii, główny jednak naolsk położony był na bibliotekarstwo powszeoh- ne. Kurs obejmował wykłady i dyskusje oraz wyoieozki do bibliotek różnyoh typów. Na zakończenie kursu uozestnioy zwiedzili Stratford n. Avon, obejrzeli osobliwości miasta 1 byli na przedstawieniu sztuki Shakespeare#a "Troilus 1 Kressyda". Po zakończeniu kursu kol. nasza udała się do Londynu, gdzie zwiedziła British Museum, Bibliotekę Ministerstwa Oświaty, a następnie do Oocfordu. Zwiedziła tam Bibliotekę Bbdley'ańską oraz Bibliotekę Nufleld College.
W okresie letnim dwie osoby z naszej Biblioteki wzięły udział w kursaoh bibliotekarskich organlzowanyoh w kraju. Kol. Marla Jasienowloz - w kursie Związku Nauozyolel^twa Polskiego pośwlę- oonym zagadnieniom samokształcenia nauozyolell i przygotowania młodzieży do praoy z książką. Kurs odbył się w Gdańsku w dniach 17 - 31 llpoa br. Kol.Mleozysława Wełnianka brała udział w Seminarium Stowarzyszenia Bibliotekarzy Polskich w Jaroolnie w dnlaoh 1 7 - 3 1 sierpnia br. Tematem kursu były sprawy orga- nlzaojl bibliotek różnych typów.
Wyoleozka do WrooławiaW dnlaoh 8 — 11 września br. odbyła się wycleozka bibliote
karzy lubelskioh do Wrooławia. Wzięło w niej udział 27 osób
z bibliotek UMCS, KUL, WSR, AM 1 Wojewódzkiej 1 Miejskiej Biblioteki lm« H.Łopaclńskiego. Poza celem szkoleniowym wycieczka ta miała także charakter krajoznawczy.
Najbardziej szczegółowo zwiedzono Bibliatekę Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego: wszystkie oddziały Biblioteki i magazyny przy ul.Szajńochy oraz główny gmach Uniwersytetu (sala "Leopoldina")• Ogólny zachwyt wywołał Oddział Zbiorów Specjalnych w nowym budynku "Na Piasku" z bogatym zbiorem starodruków, nowocześnie urządzonymi pracowniami fotomikr of Urnowymi, własną salą kinową 1 czytelniami. Duże zainteresowanie wzbudziła także dobrze zorganizowana lntróllgatornla zatrudniająca najlepszych fachowoów we Wrocławiu.
Zwiedzania Biblioteki Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego zajęło dwa dni, trzeol dzień poświęcony był zapoznawaniu się z Biblioteką Zakładu im. Ossolińskich 1 innymi bibliotekami wrocławskimi.
W Blblioteoe Zakładu Narodowego im. Ossolińskich uozestnioy wyoieozki wysłuchali obfitej w oiekawe wydarzenia historii Biblioteki oraz obejrzeli najzasobniejsze w Polsoe zbiory rękopisów naszych poetów i powieściopisarzy, starodruki-oymelia, a także piękną kolekcję miniatur postaci historycznych.
Zwiedzono następnie Muzeum Sztuki Gotyokiej, jedno z najciekawszych muzeów tego rodzaju w Europie oraz znajdującą się tąkże na Ostrowiu Tumskim Bibliotekę Kapitulną, która ma w swyoh zbioraoh oryginał Księgi Henrykowskiej (XHl w.) zawierającej pierwsze zdanie w języku polskim. Uczestnicy wyoieozki obejrzeli także galerię obrazów 1 eksponaty Muzeum Wrocławskiego.
Wycieczką naszą zajęli się bardzo serdeoznie przedstawiciele bibliotek: p.mgr Jan Pasierski z Biblioteki WSR, a zwłaszoza pp.mgr Stanisław Maksymowicz i mgr Jan Ożóg z Biblioteki Uniwersytetu Wrocławskiego.
Mili gospodarze urządzili koleżeńskie spotkanie ("ozarną kawę") bibliotekarzy wrocławskich z lubelskimi w sali ZNP; zatroszczyli się o bilety na operę Bizeta "Poławiacze pereł" i zorganizowali uroozą wycieczkę do Karpacza w niedzielę 11 września. Szkoda, że wzięły w niej udział tylko trzy osoby z bibliotek KUL i UMCS.
Bibliotekarze lubelscy skorzystali wiele zapoznaJąo się z organizaoją praoy bibliotek wrooławskioh, a dzięki niezwykłej gośoinnośoi bibliotekarzy wrocławskloh wynieśli Jak najmilsze wspomnienia przyjemnie 1 pożytecznie spędzonego czasu.
