What is a rail transport system?
• A rail transport system (RTS) is used to load, transport and unload rails in various lengths.
• It consists of a number of load wagons and sometimes a Chute wagon.
• The main components include roller stations, clamping stations and buffer door.

Automated Rail Transport System (RTS) ticks all the boxes and has many major advantages over the conventional RTS.
On-board Crane
• Loads and unloads rails with flexible arms by pulling the rails on the rollers.
• Provides comfort and safety to the operator.
• Travels seamlessly and safely on top of the wagons.
• Picks up the rails from both ground level and top of wagons.
• Can be securely tied down to the wagons during train travel.
• Can be customised to suit different network outlines. • Is equipped with a hydraulic turn table to turn itself 180 o if desired.
Wagons
• RTS consists of 6 load wagons and 1 chute wagon. Number of wagons can be increased depending on the payload length.
• Can travel up to 110km/h.
• Can be customised to suit different track conditions, gauges and network outlines.
• Have running rails on top as well as bridging rails in between to allow on-board crane to travel on top of the wagons.

Rail Storage and Roller
• Reduce the resistance when pulling rails.
• Evenly and sufficiently spaced to provide enough support to the long lengths of rails.
• Remotely controlled from either on-board crane or ground with manual backup.
• Options of individual gate control or synchronized control (i.e. opening a whole level of gates with press of one button).
• Gate locks provides extra safety.
Rail Clamping
• Secures rails during travel.
• Remote control of the clamp gates and clamping cells.
• Remotely controlled from either on-board crane or ground with manual backup.
• Fail proof - do not require constant power source to stay clamped.
• Any intent to rail movement adds to clamping force.
• Gate locks provides extra safety.
Unique and advanced state of art rail clamping technology
Rail Guiding • Chute wagon consists of discharge arms, vertical and horizontal rollers.
• Chute wagon aims to guide the rails to eliminate unsafe rail swing.
• Guidance devices are controlled by the portable remote pendant control giving operator freedom to move around the vehicle while operating the discharge arms.

Key Benefits • Cost Effective – minimal man power is required for the
entire job. • Efficient – quick start and finish. Eliminate repetitive
manual work during all stages. • Safe – eliminate risk of electrocution, tripping and
falling. • Secure – state of art fail-proof rail clamping system. • Multitasking – performing rail loading, transport,
discharge and recovery all with on system. • Adaptable – system is designed to work with most
extreme track conditions and different rail profiles & lengths.
