OKD Election Commission feels that for the convenience of general body members, to better know their candidates, an opportunity should be provided to all voters.

All candidates were requested to complete a form explaining their vision, their skill-sets, governance experience, leadership initiatives and achievements to enabled voters understand why a candidate is so motivated to administrate the activities of this institution for the next term? Candidates were also asked to let the voters of this religious institution know their religious life style and where they want to see the institution during their next term.

Few candidates did spend time to answer these questions as an effort to introduce themselves to the voters but most either ignored completing the document or have nothing to say. A “Blank” answer has been provided for such candidates.

Commission has made this maiden effort to connect candidates with voters by way of publishing their own hand-written profiles. Hope this will help voters – the general body members of Ontario Khalsa Darbar.
